Integration of Surgery, Research, and Teaching

Evidence-Based Clinical Practice

As an orthopedic specialist in traumatology, I ground my practice in the integration of extensive surgical experience, critical analysis of medical literature, and patient-centered decision-making.

My work focuses primarily on upper extremity pathology, where diagnostic precision and treatment selection directly impact patient function and quality of life. Therefore, I maintain continuous updates in surgical techniques and therapeutic strategies backed by robust scientific evidence.

This approach allows me to individualize each case, prioritizing early functional recovery, minimization of complications, and the prompt, safe reintegration of the patient into their daily activities.

Education & Academic Teaching

I have actively participated in clinical simulation teaching at Universidad Panamericana, an advanced educational model focused on acquiring practical surgical skills within a controlled and secure environment.

Within this context, I have collaborated in training medical students and residents, emphasizing key pillars such as:

  • Structured clinical reasoning

  • Decision-making under pressure

  • Initial trauma and emergency management

  • Teamwork in critical scenarios

Clinical simulation effectively shortens the learning curve and enhances patient safety—principles I consider fundamental to modern medical practice.

Emergency & Critical Care Training

I hold specialized training and teaching experience in programs endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA), which strongly reinforces my expertise in critical care management.

I have served as:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Instructor

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Faculty

This rigorous training enhances my capability for the early recognition and management of potentially life-threatening situations, particularly within the context of trauma and perioperative complications.

Furthermore, it has allowed me to participate in the training of other healthcare professionals, actively contributing to improved medical responses in critical emergency scenarios.
